Many eBay sellers of Sabers are renowned for their ignorance when it comes to specs, bandsplits, etc., so either be 100% certain of what it is you're buying or get a return privilege. A Saber 3 is always 120 channels but avoid the real old ones ending in "AN" because they will not scan "CN" is the suffix you want, not "AN" or "BN." Many Saber 2 radios are actually 120 channel radios so in reality they're Saber 3s without the keypad. A true Saber 2 should be avoided as it's only 48 channels and if you program it for scanning it's only 36 channels. VHF units most always cover the 144-148 hamband but it still pays to ask. In particular the UHF units have different bandsplits which are 403-433, 438-470, and 470-512, with some subsplits in the highest version.

Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software.
